Series

Alternating between abstract and figurative painting, each of Zihan's series is different. Rarely using a paintbrush, her imagery is dominated by thick layers of acrylic paint cast with palette knives. While her 'cerebral landscapes' are created in response to the over-stimulation of urban life, her figurative artwork explores relationships, empathy and the psychological repercussions of our social constructs
